TransformSC’s spring conference is moving to Greenville
TransformSC’s fourth annual spring conference will be held in Greenville on March 13, 2017, at the TD Convention Center. Previously held in Columbia and attracting 500 plus attendees every year, TransformSC is moving the conference to the Upstate next year in recognition of the initiative’s statewide presence.
“It made sense in the early years of TransformSC to hold our biggest annual gathering in a central location,” said Dr. Peggy Torrey, Director of TransformSC. “But, we have always been interested in moving the conference to different areas of the state in recognition of the geographic diversity of TransformSC schools and districts. Many of our founding schools and districts are in the Upstate, and the region continues to have one of the highest concentrations of TransformSC schools and districts. That, together with the amenities the city has to offer for our out-of-town conference-goers, made Greenville the perfect fit for next year’s event.”
Ranked third on Livability’s “Top 10 Downtowns” in the nation and called a “Foodie Paradise” by Southern Living, Greenville boasts a number of trails and outdoor activities, cultural amenities and more restaurants than you can imagine – perfect for a long weekend or more. Accommodations at multiple hotels will be available for those who wish to stay Saturday and/or Sunday night.
Registration and agenda details will be released in early Fall 2016.
