It was established with the mission to accelerate growth & innovation while providing a unified voice for the statewide technology community by developing a strong 21st Century workforce, supporting entrepreneurs, connecting peers and decision makers, and establishing South Carolina as a global hub for innovation.

TechSC is a statewide, industry-based initiative uniting South Carolina’s technology community. By connecting technology leaders, investors, businesses, academics, and policymakers, we help focus on five core objectives:

Technology in South Carolina

South Carolina’s technology industry is thriving. Preliminary research comissioned by the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness and conducted by research economist Joey Von Nessen indicates that tech employment in the state is growing at a steady rate and that the tech sector contributes 6.3% to the state’s economy. As TechSC continues to advance its mission to accelerate South Carolina’s technology ecosystem, the sector is expected to see rapid growth across the state.
