Amanda Campbell Promoted to Creative Communications Specialist for South Carolina Council on Competitiveness

 

(Columbia,SC) Amanda Campbell has been promoted from Communications Intern to Creative Communications Specialist for the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness. In this role, she will support the Council\’s marketing and communications efforts by coordinating events, creating visual media content, and assisting with overall stakeholder engagement. 

Amanda began working with the Council as a Communications Intern in November 2017. In May of 2019, she graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina and earned a B.A. in Visual Communications from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications.  \"\"

Susie Shannon, President & CEO of the Council said that Amanda’s creative talents have already proven to be an asset to the organization and that having her full-time will help the communications team in its work to promote the South Carolina Council on Competitiveness and its various clusters and initiatives. “We have a lot of projects on the horizon and I am confident in what Amanda brings to the Council team with her creativity, her energy, and her readiness to get to work.”

During her college career, Amanda gained hands-on experience in graphic design, videography, photography, motion design and other visual forms of marketing/advertising. While at USC Amanda worked as the Graphic Design Coordinator for the UofSC Public Relations Student Society of America chapter and the Creative Director for Crescent Communications in the public relations Bateman Competition of 2018.

“Through my internship at the Council I have been able to sharpen not only my creative talents but also my professional presence as well,” said Amanda. “I am excited to hop on board with the team full-time to bring everything I have to help the Council flourish and accomplish its creative goals.”
