Stieritz presents at Moore School’s Economic Outlook Conference

On Thursday, December 8th, President & CEO Ann Marie Stieritz presented on South Carolina’s Long-Term Economic Competitiveness at the USC Darla Moore School of Business Economic Outlook Conference.  Ann Marie discussed South Carolina’s economic development successes and how that success can be leveraged for the creation of broad-based prosperity in South Carolina.

The event’s keynote speaker was Professor Laurence Kotlikoff, a leading expert on the long-run fiscal health of the United States and Social Security.  Dr. Kotlikoff spoke on the challenges facing the Trump Administration.  Dr. Doug Woodward and Dr. Joseph Von Nessen, research economists with the Darla Moore School of Business, presented their economic outlook for South Carolina in 2017. Meghan Hughes, Executive Director of EngenuitySC, presented on the Midlands’ Competitiveness Scorecard.
