Exec Comm member Tee Hooper featured in UBJ
Council Executive Committee Member Tecumseh “Tee” Hooper, Jr., was recently the subject of a feature article and Q & A interview in the Upstate Business Journal.
Hooper, a longtime member of the Council’s executive committee, has had a very active role in South Carolina’s business community, has launched or led six different businesses over the past 37 years and has served on the boards of Goodwill Industries, Greenville Chamber, United Way, YMCA, Leadership South Carolina and Camp Greenville.
Hooper is one of only 89 South Carolinians to have been recognized with the Order of the Palmetto, the state’s highest civilian honor. The Order of the Palmetto was awarded to him by Gov. Sanford in 2009 for his integrity and “a life incredibly well lived,” in part for his fight to reform the state’s legislature during his tenure as chairman of the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
