Council CEO featured in USA Today

USA TodayPresident & CEO of the SC Council on Competitiveness, Ann Marie Stieritz, participated in The Real Economy Forum – a two-hour event hosted by WLTX, Wells Fargo and USA Today focusing on the economic conditions of South Carolina.  

Senator Tim Scott delivered opening remarks followed by a panel discussion on the findings of the USATODAY/Wells Fargo Real Economy online survey that sampled 3,533 people across the country age 18 and over, including an oversampling of at least 500 adults in North Carolina, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon and South Carolina.  Topics included manufacturing, tourism, aerospace, military  and the workforce.  

Ann Marie served as a panelist along with:

  • John Denise, president of Advanced Automation Consulting
  • Charlie Farrell, executive coordinator for the South Carolina Military Base Task Force
  • Scott Garvin, president of Garvin Design Group
  • Dr. Ronald Rhames, president of Midlands Technical College
