Arnold joins TransformSC executive committee

TransformSC has appointed Columbia business leader Tim Arnold to the initiative’s executive committee.

Arnold currently serves as President and CEO of Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Company. He joined Colonial Life in 2011, following a 27-year career with Unum, where he held leadership roles in its Chattanooga, Tenn., Worcester, Mass., and Portland, Maine, offices.

Arnold plays an active role in the community by serving on the board of directors of United Way of the Midlands, Midlands Business Leadership Group, Palmetto Business Forum, American Heart Association 2017 Heart Walk, Transitions shelter for the homeless and the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, for which he served as the 2016 chair of the board of directors.

Arnold joins fellow executive committee members Pam Lackey, president of AT&T South Carolina, and Mike Brennan, president of BB&T South Carolina. TransformSC’s executive committee is responsible for approving all financial and programmatic decisions for the initiative.
